Ricky Arora founded Arora Lodhi Heath in 1996 with Roy Lodhi and David Heath. Having trained at a predecessor firm, he qualified as a Solicitor in 1993 and is a highly experienced Criminal Defence solicitor. A graduate of the London School of Economics, he has maintained an interest in Human Rights and Miscarriage of Justice cases.

He has represented clients at the police station since 1994 and recognising that informed and intelligent advice at the police station can make or break a case, continues to regularly attend on behalf of clients. He is a police station and court Duty Solicitor, handling cases from initial police station advice through to representation at the Magistrates court, Crown Court and if appropriate at the Court of Appeal. He has defended cases investigated and prosecuted by SOCA, HMRC, Serious Fraud Office, UK Borders Agency, Economic Crime Units, DWP, Local Authorities and Trading Standards.

His experience allows him to fiercely defend his clients, whilst maintaining complete confidentiality and professionalism to minimise any damage to their reputation. He is particularly known for his skill in providing strategic, sensible and practical criminal law advice. Ricky has extensive experience in representing defendants accused of Murder, Fraud, Confiscation proceedings and Judicial Reviews. He has reported cases in the areas of extradition, confiscation proceedings and criminal appeals. Noteworthy cases include representing the youngest ever defendant in a rape trial; representing defendants in one of the largest customs frauds involving ‘super grasses’; one of the first and largest investigations by Police Internal Affairs; one of the largest pirate DVD rings and an international investigation involving one of the largest cultivation of cannabis cases in the country.
